Prolink PC TW8 Tablet Launched [Intel N450 1.66GHz, 32GB SSD, 1GB RAM, 3.75G]
The Prolink PC TW8 tablet has seen the light of day at Sitex 2010. It is a 11.6-inch capacitive touchscreen device that is powered by an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor and runs the Windows 7 Home Starter OS; that’s neat. You don’t have that many tablets running full-fledged operating systems.
The Prolink PC TW8 Tablet is priced at $899 at Sitex with with free casing, mouse and screen protector, a discount of $200 over its actual cost. It offers the works – automatic orientation to landscape or portrait; access to all the social networking sites; built-in WiFi; WWAN 3.75G; Bluetooth; and a 1.3MP webcam. The company offers a 3-year limited warranty on the device in Singapore district. Of course, the proof of the pudding is in its taste and only after we read a review or two of how it actually handles and how responsive the interface is, will we actually be able to get a clearer picture of its potential.
The tablet has a thickness of around 14mm and weighs almost 2.2 lbs.
