The 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen HTC Freestyle runs the BREW MP platform developed for Quick Messaging Phones. It’s not your heavyweight smartphone. Its specs and 528MHz Qualcomm CPU are a throwback to the days of feature phones. It does come with the HTC Sense UI though which means it will also have GPS and potentially capable of cloud connectivity coz’ Sense supports it.
The HTC Freestyle features a 3.2MP camera, FM radio, proximity sensor, GPS, support for social networking, and a sleek aluminum unibody design. Connectivity is via WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0. AT&T expects to bring out five new Quick Messaging Phones this year. HTC Freestyle should be available to AT&T customers this February but no word on pricing as yet.
