AndyPad in the U.K Priced £129 [7-inch, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8]
The AndyPad tablet is a made in the U.K product that aims to make the tablet an inexpensive and affordable everyman device. To this end, the 7-inch touchscreen tablet will cost you a mere £129. It has decent specs. It is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. That’s very decent.
Expandable storage is via microSD. Andy Pad Business Development Executive George Eastmead says “With a high quality spec, we’re expecting the Andy Pad to be both popular with tablet veterans and those newcomers who have been waiting for this chance to dive into the world of mobile computing.”
You get standard-size HDMI port with 1080p HD output. Its a WiFi tablet and has social networking apps for Facebook and Twitter built-in. The AndyPad will be available from September onwards; a nice time to debut ‘coz that’s when people are just about warming up to the thoughts of Christmas shopping. Who knows, the tablet price may actually drop during the actual shopping season!
