LG Optimus Q2 Smartphone to Launch in Korea Next Week on LG Uplus
LG has announced that it will be launching a full-QWERTY smartphone, the Optimus Q2 in Korea. The handset is going to be targeted at the younger folk that can text superfast and need a good physical keyboard for it.
The Optimus Q2 will be powered by a 1.2GHz CPU and have a 4-inch screen. Little else is known about this piece, it will most likely run Android 2.3. It has a 5MP camera and will be lighter than the earlier Optimus Q.
Interestingly, the Optimus Q2 will launch on one of Korea’s smaller wireless carriers – the LG Uplus Corp. The phone will carry a useful feature, the WiFi Direct. This enables easy sharing of content between mobile devices without having to depend on wireless access points.
