Verizon LG Spectrum 4G LTE Smartphone Costs $199 on Contract

Verizon Wireless has announced the month-end availability of the LG Spectrum at the ongoing CES 2012. The 4.5-inch screen on this 4G LTE smartphone has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a pixel density of 329 pixels per inch (ppi). The In-Plane Switching (IPS) display with this phone is similar to what LG uses for its high-end HDTV screens.

The phone is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, has 1GB RAM, and runs Android 2.3. There’s an 8MP rear camera on the LG Spectrum and a 2MP front-facing camera. 2GB of internal storage is boosted by another 32GB via microSD and microSDHC. The phone will come with a 16GB card pre-installed. Isn’t that neat. That should be enough storage for a lot of us. Take your snaps and upload to a hard drive. Stream music on the 4G waves, don’t store it. :)

The LG Spectrum by Verizon Wireless will cost $199 with contract when it goes on sale.
