Two new budget smartphones have arrived on the scene in India – the Idea Blade costing 7,992 and Idea ID 280 priced at Rs 5,850. Both have been launched by Idea Cellular.

The Kyobo e-reader comes out of South Korea with a 5.7-inch XGA display, runs Android 2.3 and is powered by a 1.0-Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 processor. Motorola Mobility has introduced in France its two recent tablets – Motorola Xoom 2 & Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition. The tablets are available at Darty, FNAC, cdiscount and surcouf. The Xoom 2 is priced at 459€ inclusive of taxes; the Media edition will cost 399€ tax included.

The 4G Pantech Pocket is available with AT&T from November 20th for $49.99 with a two-year contract. The 4-inch touchscreen [600 x 800 pixels]on this Android 2.3 smartphone has an aspect ratio of 4:3. The Pocket is powered by a 1GHz processor.

The Sharp Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B is a 7-inch Honeycomb tablet that will start selling from December 9th onwards in Japan, aka Nippon, aka the land of the rising sun. It will cost the equivalent of $780. No word as yet on the U.S release of this tablet.

Two Sony smartphones, the Xperia Arc S and the Xperia neo V are now available for sale in the U.S but not with any carrier. As of now, these can be bought only at the Sony online store. The Xperia Arc S is priced at $550 and the Xperia neo V costs $350.
