Huawei has officially announced the IDEOS X5 and IDEOS X6 smartphones; both meant to be on Android 2.2 but it’s anybody’s guess that the two devices may well be released with Android 2.3. Here’s a link to the Huawei media press release in Australia.

Plantronics has announced an app – InstantMeeting, and the software lets you get instant, one-touch dial-in access to a conference call without having to dial 1-888 numbers and access codes. The app, which is currently available for select Android and Blackberry phones – BlackBerry OS v4.5.0 or higher, and Android OS versions 2.1 or 2.2.

The Dell Venue Pro is now on sale with pre-orders being taken at Dell.com. The smartphone is a 4.1-inch multitouch capacitive display phone powered by a 1GHz processor and runs Windows Phone 7. The device can be yours for a two-year T-Mobile contract and $99.99 otherwise priced at $450.

Vodafone has announced what it calls a “much simpler and lower pricing for using a smartphone whilst traveling in Europe”; thereby making it easier for customers to enjoy social media and connectivity at cheaper rates. You can choose between daily and monthly rates depending upon whether you are an occasional or frequent traveler.
