The Lenovo IdeaTab S2 tablet has been unveiled at the CES 2012. The 10.1-inch screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. This is an Android 4.0 tablet powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8960 processor.

The Vizio VTAB3010 tablet is set to make an appearance at the CES 2012, no word on specs and availability. This should happen later in the day. This is a 10-inch tablet that will hopefully be powered by a dual-core processor. The Vizio More likely than not, the tablet will run Android.

The Archos Arnova G2 line of tablets has a new member, it’s the Archos Arnova 9 G2 tablet and it’s got a 9.7-inch touchscreen with a display resolution of 1024 x 868 pixels. It is powered by a 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 single core processor. The operating system of choice is Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Idolian has launched the TouchTab10 tablet, a bigger cousin of the 7-inch TurboTab S by the same company. It is currently selling for a promotional price of $239.99. Toshiba has unveiled at the Ceatec 2011, what it terms the world’s lightest and thinnest tablet. It carries more or less the same spec sheet as the AT200 which had shown up at the IFA last month. This is not Toshiba’s first crack at tablets, the earlier attempts had more or less fizzled out.

The Amazon conference is not yet on but the news is out that the much awaited Amazon tablet will be indeed called the Kindle Fire and is set to cost $199. The color display will respond to a two-finger touch. This table will come with a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime membership.
