Kingston has introduced the DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 USB 3.0 flash drives capable of read and write speeds of 225MB/s and 135MB/s, respectively. It is compatible with USB 2.0 and offers speeds of up to 30 MB/s for read and write.

Buffalo has scored a big first, as far as I know the IFC-PCIE4U3S is the first 4-port LAN card out there with support for USB 3.0 and backward compatibility with USB 2.0.

Toshiba Europe GmBH has announced the introduction of the STOR.E EDITION series of external hard drives. These HDDs are available in black, silver, blue and red color. The drives have a USB 3.0 port and are USB 2.0 compliant as well for older USB devices. They have a maximum capacity of 1TB storage.

Pretec has raised the bar further in the competition to produce ultracompact and small flash drives with ever increasing memory. The i-Disk Rex100 is a USB 3.0 flash drive that measures only 2.9 x 0.7 x 0.2 inch and yet manages to offer up to 128GB SSD storage.
